LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police officers responded to a burglary involving five juvenile suspects at a home in the 800 block of Cotton Belt Street Friday afternoon. According to the property manager, this is the second time the home has been broken into this week.
LPD officers were dispatched out the residence on Cotton Belt Street at about 2 p.m. Friday. When they arrived on the scene, two male juveniles fled the scene on foot.
Officers talked to three female juveniles at the scene, and they will be taking them to their parents. Officer Gary Stallard said the girls will charged with criminal trespass. Burglary charges could be pending as well because one of the juveniles kicked in a back window, he said.
Edena Tutt, the property manager, said that she saw the juveniles inside the home and called the police. She added that this marks the second time this week someone has broken into the residence.
