Nacogdoches Rotary Club's Mobile Library spreads joy of reading

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Hundreds of children are learning what enjoyment comes from reading a book on a hot summer day thanks to the Nacogdoches Rotary Club's Mobile Library.

On Tuesday at Pioneer Park, two Rotary youth volunteers, as well as Nacogdoches and Lufkin First United Methodist Church youth groups visited and read to the library visitors.

In its third year of existence, children of all ages have the routine down. They visit the library at neighborhood parks on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

They browse the many age-appropriate donated books, make their selections, and then check them out.

Readers who bring back the books the following week receive a prize. If they don't, no questions are asked.
