LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

The Central Youth baseball league is hoping the public can help the league find a missing important piece of equipment.

An ATV that was used by the league was reported stolen on June 23. After little leads, the Angelina Co. Sheriff’s office is hoping public input can help with the case. The atv is described as a Yamaha Big Bear with a torn seat and a bent front rack.

“We used it for everything,” league coordinator Gerald Hawk said. “We used it to perform field maintenance. We used it to haul trash. If we did something, the atv was almost always used.”

Hawk said he bought the atv for his father and after his father upgraded equipment at home, he donated the atv to the league. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Angelina County Sheriff’s office.
