LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - According to TWS, employers are looking for people between the ages of 16 to 24, who are out of school or completed school.
Along with the job fair, there are career and college workshops.
"Not only can they come to try and find a job, but they can also come to get assistance for training to go to school to attend to college," explained Jennifer Jordan, WIOA Youth Career Specialist.
Organizers are encouraging young people to come armed with lots of resumes and be dressed for success. Sandra Rodriguez, who is the Business Services Supervisor, said those without a resume can get help during the Youth Job Fair, too.
"We will be providing workshops for those individuals that are interested that can assist them with preparing a resume and how to prepare for a job interview," Rodriguez said.
Unlike a lot of job searches, instead being online, several employers will have their hiring officers on site.
The job fair is open to everyone in the 12-county Deep East Texas service area.
