LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Investigators with the Lufkin Police Department have identified a possible suspect in the armed robbery that occurred at Advance America on North Timberland Drive on July 2.
"We've identified a possible suspect, but we are still looking for additional information on the suspect's location," stated a press release from Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers.
LPD investigators said the suspect went into the check cashing business at about 7:40 p.m. on July 2. While the clerk had her back turned, the suspect stuck a gun in her back and demanded money.
The suspect then ran off in the direction of Paul Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black man with a medium build that was wearing a black shirt and black plants along with a ball cap with a red logo on it.
