Officers with the Lufkin Police Department had a busy weekend dealing with burglary of vehicles.
A collection of police report from Saturday into early Sunday morning found seven vehicles had been burglarized.
On the West Loop, there were two reports: in the 300 block of South John Redditt, which is near the Fox Run Apartments area; and in 500 block of South John Redditt, which appears to be the parking lot area of Woodland Heights Medical Center and nearby office complex.
A third burglar happened on Armory Drive, which is just north of Kiwanis Park.
A fourth incident happened in the 400 block of North Timberland Dr. That area is bordered by Paul Ave. to the north and East Groesbeck Ave. to the south.
Police Lieutenant Ronny LaRue said that seven burglaries is kind of high for his officers to see.
The second week of June, thieves broke into 13 cars within 24 hours in and near the Inwood Terrace subdivision.
To be safe, police say remove any valuables from your vehicle, roll up your windows and lock the doors.
