CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - An ongoing investigation has led to an arrest of an alleged Crockett area drug dealer.
According to Crockett Police Chief David Cross, officers served a search warrant around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 600 block of North 7th Street. During the search, police arrested Sacramento Ledesma Jr., 37, of Crockett.
"During the search of the house, officers located and seized about 120 grams of suspected methamphetamine, two jars of suspected marijuana, five firearms, about $1,700 is United States currency, several digital scales," Cross said. "We had heard some things and stuff was told to us that lead us to this case."
Cross added that other evidence has led the department to believe Ledesma was distributing drugs from his home.
Ledesma was arrested and booked into the Houston County Jail for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, a 2nd degree felony.
Cross said Ledesma was in the home with his wife and children. Cross said Child Protective Services was contacted and have removed the four children from the home at the time.
