LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Two men have been arrested and charged for arson after a house on Lone Star Road burned to the ground last April.

Larry Davis and Chad Hamblett are both facing first degree felony charges of arson after Lufkin Fire Marshal Steve McCool was able to link the two to a house fire on Lone Star Road.

McCool said they were able to link the two to the firs using evidence on scene, but are still investigating and will not release the connection at this time.

At the time of the fire, there was a thought that the fire could have been caused by lightning from severe storms in the area.

“We have been able to rule the storms out,” McCool said. “We also may have more people involved. We are still looking into that.”

As of Tuesday at 4 p.m., Hamblett had not been booked into the Angelina County Jail.
