Austin man arrested after allegedly breaking into same Polk Co. home twice in one week

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) -

A man has been arrested after breaking into the same Polk County home twice in one week.

Seth Snyder, 34 of Austin, is being charged with burglary of a habitation, driving with a suspended license and expired vehicle registration.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s office, a home on Highway 59 in Goodrich was broken into on July 10. The homeowner reported several religious items stolen. The release claims many were pieces depicting Buddha.

Authorities said they were notified on July 14 of another break in at the same home. The release stated Sheriff Kenneth Hammack asked his team to monitor the home. Several hours later, patrol units spotted a vehicle leaving the area.

Snyder was stopped, and his vehicle was searched. Deputies said they found items allegedly belonging to the homeowner.
