Funeral services set for retired Polk Co. sergeant

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) - Funeral arrangements have been set for a former Polk County sergeant.

The funeral service for Perry Alexander will be Friday, July 17 starting at 10 a.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston. Rev. Harold Issaacs will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568.

Alexander died July 13 at his home in Wichita Falls from natural causes. Sgt. Alexander worked for the Polk County Sheriff's Office from 2000 until 2013 when he retired from the Civil Process Division. In his years of service Sgt. Alexander worked as a patrol deputy, a patrol sergeant and civil process sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Alexander of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter, Tammy Parker of Wichita Falls, Texas; son, Perry Alexander III of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; daughter, Nikki LaFour of Shepherd, Texas; daughter, Tracy Morgan of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor, Kenny, Melanie, Brandon, Matthew, Destiny, Damianne, Catlynn, Scarlet, David, Devon, Areo, and Nate; great-grandchildren, Rowan and Trey; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
