SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 39-year-old Lufkin woman on allegations that she created a fake Facebook account in her ex-boyfriend’s name and used it to make “disparaging remarks” about people.

Lauri K. Hicks is still being held in the San Augustine County Jail on a third-degree felony online impersonation charge. Her bail has been set at $10,000.

“She is apparently a disgruntled ex-girlfriend who created a fake Facebook account in the victim’s name and used it to make disparaging remarks about people and accuse her ex-boyfriend of being a meth dealer,” said Chief Deputy Gary Cunningham with the San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office.

Hicks was arrested on July 18.
