Center PD investigating bank break-in, stolen safe

CENTER, TX (KTRE) -

Investigators with the Center Police Department are investigating a burglary that occurred at the drive though of town’s Farmer’s State Bank on Monday.

According to a press release, two suspects broke the south window on the building, entered it, and took a safe that had been located in the office. At this time, the amount of cash that was in the safe is not known.

The Center Police Department is currently reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, and the FBI is assisting with the investigation.

The press release said that additional information will be released at a later date.

“If you have any information about this crime, please contact the Center Crime Stoppers at 598-SAFE or send a Web tip at www.centercrimestoppers.com,” the press release stated. “You could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your information leads to the arrest of the suspects involved or the recovery of the stolen property.”
