POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

On Monday, the body of an unidentified white man was found floating in Lake Livingston.

According to a press release, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to an unidentified white man that had been seen floating in Lake Livingston. Shortly after PCSO deputies arrived on the scene, they requested help from the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department and Americare EMS.

Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s office processed the scene.

Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Jaime Jones pronounced the man dead at the scene. The man’s identity and the cause of his death are unknown at this time, the press release stated.

“Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking any help in location a white 1992 Ford pickup bearing the Minnesota license plate number 323KAM,” the press release stated.

The press release stated that residents of Polk and San Jacinto counties and the Trinity County Lake areas should be especially alert for the pickup.
