SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Three Center residents were arrested on aggravated sexual assault of a child charges on Tuesday in connection to allegations that a 26-year-old woman arranged for 23-year-old man to have sex with a 12-year-old girl.
Joseph Aldaco, 23, Juan Aldaco, 26, and Jessica Griffith, 26, were each arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child. Each suspect's bail amount was set at $15,000.
According to one of the arrest affidavits, an investigator with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office sat in on an interview of the 12-year-old alleged victim at the Shelby County Children's Advocacy Center on Monday.
During the interview, the girl said that Griffith encouraged her to have sex with Joseph Aldaco, the affidavit stated. Griffith also allegedly got permission under false pretenses from the girl's mother for the child to spend the night at Joseph Aldaco's home on July 18.
While the girl was there, Joseph Aldaco sexually assaulted her, the affidavit stated.
The affidavit stated that Juan Aldaco, Griffith's boyfriend, told the girl to "just go with it" in reference to her submitting to Joseph Aldaco's advances.
