CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) -

Over 100 members of Damarcus Jackson's family, community members and even Corrigan police gathered at the Corrigan courthouse around 8:45 this evening.

From there, they marched on foot several blocks to 201 West 2nd Street, which is the exact spot where Jackson took his last breath.

We spoke with Jackson's mother, Kathlina Bean, who said she is trying to take it day by day.

"I'm everywhere. One minute I'm okay. I try to be okay for everybody else, the other kids at least and then I feel like I don't know what I'm going to do. My feelings are just all over the place," Bean said.

There is a Go Fund Me account for Jackson, set up by a family friend.

Funeral services for Damarcus Jackson are scheduled for 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Mayo Chapel Baptist Church in Corrigan. Jackson's family has planned a few fund raising events to help with funeral costs.
