LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Texas State Forest Festival recently brought home 19 first-place awards from the Texas Festivals and Events Association.
Among those awards was the Zenith Award which recognizes the festival as the Best in Texas for everything from the event's marketing promotions to it's community outreach.
"It's an awesome feeling to know that the community has been so significant in such a great award to bring that home multiple years," said Melissa Wheeler with the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce.
The 31st Annual Texas State Forest Festival kicks off September 16th to 20th at the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin. Admission is $6, and kids under three are free.
