POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Polk County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 47-year-old woman on a child endangerment charge on Tuesday in connection to allegations that her teenage son tested positive for methamphetamine.
Carolyn Bost, of Onalaska, is still being held in the Polk County jail on a felony child endangerment charge. Her bail amount was set at $25,000.
According to Captain John Maddox with the Onalaska Police Department, OPD officers were dispatched to check on a report of a boy about the age of 13 being locked out of his house on July 23.
Because of the poor living conditions at the house, the officer or officers called Child Protective Services, the affidavit stated. CPS officials did a field test on Bost and her son, and they both tested positive for meth, according to the affidavit. The teenage boy allegedly had more narcotics in his system than his mother did.
Bost was arrested Tuesday and taken to the county jail.
