Lufkin PD: Woman asked to take shower, allegedly stole man's SUV

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A man told Lufkin Police officers that a woman that he had just met stole his Nissan Xterra SUV after she and another man came over to his house, so the woman could take a shower late Monday night.

According to the Lufkin Police Department daily activity report, the man told officers that he was at a friend's house on Wood Street when the woman asked if she could take a shower at his home. The man said he took the woman and another man to his home on Kurth Drive, and she took a shower.

At that point, the man got into his shower and heard the woman yell that she and the other man were going to Taco Bell. The man told police that he got out of the shower in time to see them drive away in his Xterra.

"When he first reported the vehicle stolen, he said he didn't want to file charges," the activity report stated. "After spending the next day being unable to get a hold of the woman on her cellphone, he opted to file charges."

Eventually, the man admitted to the LPD officer that the woman was a prostitute. However, he denied having sex with her, the activity report stated.

"When asked why he would take a shower with two strangers in his house, he couldn't give a reason," the report stated.
