NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

An 18-wheeler went off the road about three miles west of Nacogdoches on State Highway 7 Thursday afternoon, resulting in damage to a large stretch of guard rail. No one was injured in the wreck.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at about 1:36 p.m.

The preliminary accident investigation indicates that a 2013 Volvo tractor-trailer rig driven by David Francis Risser, 53, was traveling west on Highway 7 when he struck a guard rail  just west of County Road 724. The accident caused damage to Risser’s truck and trailer, along with a large portion of the guard rail along that stretch of the road.
