NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

On Thursday, officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested a 46-year-old Lufkin man in connection to the theft of a large deer blind from the Atwoods store located on North Street.

Steven Paul Guinn is still being held at the Nacogdoches County jail on a state-jail theft between $1,500 to $20,000 charge. His bail amount has been set at $15,000.

Sgt. Doug Read with the Nacogdoches Police Department said NPD investigators received a tip about the suspect’s identity after surveillance video of the theft and information was post on the department’s Facebook page.

According to the initial NPD post, the suspect, who has been identified as Guinn, drove up to the Atwoods store in a newer model Dodge truck with a black utility trailer and loaded the 8-foot diameter deer blind on to the trailer and drove off with it early Tuesday.
