NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Following a traffic stop early Friday morning, Nacogdoches Police officers arrested at 27-year-old man on a felony possession of marijuana charge after a search of his vehicle allegedly turned up more than two pounds of marijuana.
Michael Green, of Wilmer, Arkansas, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds charge. His bail amount was set at $15,000.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Nacogdoches Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3400 block of South Street at about 1 a.m. Friday. When the NPD officer went to talk to the driver, he noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The officer asked Green if he had marijuana in the vehicle, and he allegedly admitted to having two pounds of the drug. A search of the vehicle turned up to 2.2 pounds of marijuana.
