NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - While burn bans are on county leader's minds, the aftermath of last spring's severe flooding remains.
On Tuesday, the Nacogdoches County road administrator and the emergency management coordinator continued to drive a FEMA representative to numerous county roads damaged by spring and early summer floods.
The damage is being documented down to the dimensions and GPS coordinates.
The team was on its third day of touring the county Tuesday.
Two more visits are scheduled for next week.
The incident period remains from May 4 to June 22.
FEMA is documenting what work the county has completed and what work still needs to be done. The projects will be written after on-site documentation is complete.
Emergency Coordinator Tara Triana said there's no indication when project funding will be announced.
