ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Lufkin man accused of injuring his elderly mother's face by throwing something through a window on July 30.

Bryan Lee Fancher, 49, is charged with third-degree injury to elderly and criminal mischief.

According to an arrest affidavit, deputies responded to the 200 block of Julius Road on July 30 at 8:25 p.m. Fancher's mother told them her son had arrived at the house to stay the night. When she told him he could not, Fancher became very upset, yelling and cursing at her.

The mother said Fancher was doing the yelling and cursing from outside and he then threw a plastic bag through the window. The contents of the bag caused the window to break and the bag then struck the mother in the face, according to the affidavit.

Fancher was no longer in the area at the time deputies had arrived. The deputy reported the 68-year-old mother had fresh blood on her nose and mouth and lacerations on her face.

Deputies obtained a warrant for Fancher's arrest on July 31. He was booked in the Angelina County Jail on the charges on Aug. 3. His bond has not yet been set.
