Nacogdoches man jailed for possession of marijuana, stolen gun

A Nacogdoches man is in jail after found being in possession of marijuana and a stolen gun. Sheriff Investigators received information that a male subject was in possession of narcotics at his residence on Looneyville Street. Upon arrival investigators made contact with the suspect and obtained consent to search the residence.

Found inside the bedroom were over four ounces of marijuana and a Taurus 9MM pistol that had been previously reported stolen to the Nacogdoches Police Department. Tyson Anderson 40 years of age was arrested at the scene for theft of a firearm a state jail felony and possession of a firearm a state jail felony. Anderson was transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail and booked in.
