LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin police have arrested a woman accused of dealing crack cocaine after officers ran a raid on her North Lufkin home Thursday morning.

LaShunda Williams, also known as "Shanna May," 31, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, the Special Response Team went into Williams' home, located in the 1200 block of Keltys Street, and cleared it for the Street Crimes Unit.

Police say detectives found crack rocks and plastic baggies of cocaine during the search.

Sgt. Travis Strickland said the investigation started after multiple phone calls from concerned citizens about possible drug activities at the home.

“The citizens of Lufkin are the eyes and ears of the community,” Strickland said. “If you suspect narcotics trafficking or any other illegal activities going on in your neighborhood, call the department.”
