Debate On Abortion Bill

by Jessica Cervantez

Texas lawmakers are once again debating an abortion bill. The bill would make it mandatory for girls under 18-years-old to get permission from their parents before having an abortion.

The East Texas News wants your opinion.

Do you think doctors should have to get parental consent before performing an abortion on a minor?

So far, 89% of voters say you believe consent from parents should be required. 6% say you shouldn't need it. And 5% say the law should stay as it is where parents are notified two days before the procedure.

You still have time to vote on the East Texas News page.
