ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a 3-year-old boy who went missing Monday on Old Earnest Landrum Road, off of Old Ewing Road.
According to Mason's father, the search crews have found small footprints near a small pond near their home. Crews are now dragging the pond with a net.
Mason was last seen around 1 p.m., playing outside of the family's home. Mason's father, Kevin, was cleaning inside the home and sent mason outside away from the smell of the chemicals.
The two were planning on riding the family's four-wheeler until Mason went missing.
"He's never done this before. He used to hide up underneath the house until we call his name and he starts laughing but he'd never go anywhere else but underneath the house. So, I'm still trying to figure out where is my son," said Kevin Cuttler, Mason's father.
A helicopter from the Dallas Department of Public Safety is also assisting in the search for Mason Cuttler.
Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches said Mason Cuttler, the little boy, was last seen playing in his yard at 1 p.m. Monday. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with the words, "Ladies Man" written in red and outlined in silver along with camouflage shorts and a red, white, and blue Huggies diaper.
Little Mason is a "late developer" so he is only able to say three to four word sentences, but is able to respond to his name.
Some crews involved in the search will continue looking for Mason until 12 a.m., another will come from then until 6 a.m. Tuesday, and if need be all crews will return to the scene at that point.
Anyone with any information about Mason's whereabouts is urged to call the Angelina County Sheriff's Office at (936) 634-3332.
