HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 49-year-old man on Monday in connection to allegations that he got into an argument with another man over a woman, punched him hard enough to knock out two of his teeth, and then forced him to drive to a woman's house to clear up "relationship issues."

Raymond Ernest Christoph was booked into the Houston County Jail on a second-degree felony aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury charge. No bail information was available.

According to the arrest affidavit, an HCSO deputy was dispatched out to a home in the 1400 block of County Road 2125 on Aug. 11 about an assault that had just occurred. When he got there, he talked to the alleged victim, who told him that he had driven to a friend’s house on Post Oak Street in Latexo earlier that evening.

Upon arriving at the home, the alleged victim found that his friend and his friend’s wife weren’t home. Christoph, the only person there, told him they had a problem and that they should go outside.

Christoph kept asking the man why he was “f---ing with his heart” and pounding his own chest, the affidavit stated. Once the victim went outside, he went to his truck, and Christoph allegedly punched him in the mouth, knocking out two teeth and spinning him around.

The alleged victim walked around his truck to get away from Christoph, but the other man walked up behind him and punched him in the back of the head, the affidavit stated. When Christoph allegedly tried to hit the victim again, the other man persuaded him to not do it.

According to the affidavit, Christoph then made the alleged victim drive him to the home of a woman he “is infatuated with,” so they could clear up “relationship issues.”
