Church Makes Changes For Disabled Members

by Ramonica R. Jones

Leaders of a Lufkin church want to make sure all their members have a chance to worship.  That's why Wood's Memorial Temple just installed a $27,000 elevator inside the church.

Many of the church members are elderly or disabled and have trouble getting upstairs.  So, the congregation raised enough money to take members on the elevator from the fellowship hall downstairs to Sunday morning service upstairs.

There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony Sunday afternoon to officially celebrate the new addition to Wood's Memorial Temple.
