LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin police have arrested three people in a bust following an investigation into drug activity on West Kerr Street Wednesday morning.
Frank Parker, 49, of Lufkin, is charged for possession of marijuana, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a stolen firearm. Chris Wesley, 47, of Huntington, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm. Amanda McRae, 36, of Lufkin, is charged with possession of marijuana. She also has a Trinity County warrant.
According to an LPD report, the arrests come after the department's Street Crimes Unit received several reports of drug activity at the home, located on the 100 block of West Kerr Street, and launched an investigation.
The team cleared the house Wednesday morning and found the trio inside. They reported finding several ounces of marijuana, prescription pain medication packaged in plastic baggies and baggies and syringes with meth residue and several guns.
"As long as people decide to poison our community by trafficking narcotics, the Lufkin Police Department will continue to investigate, arrest and assist in the prosecution of those individuals in order to make our city a safer place to live," said Sgt. Travis Strickland, the supervisor of the team.
