On September 4, 2015 a 37-year-old Lufkin man had a change of heart when he decided to return a truck he had stolen earlier in the day.

According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Thaddeus Woods, drove into the Livingston DPS Office parking lot with a 2004 Sterling fertilizer.

Woods told a trooper he was intoxicated when he stole the vehicle and wanted to return it.

Woods was taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and placed into the Polk County Jail.

The trooper notified the Lufkin Police Department that the vehicle they previously reported stolen had been recovered.

The owner picked up the fertilizer truck the same day at 5:00pm from the DPS Office in Livingston.

Woods bond is set at $5,000.
