According to ESPN's Todd Archer, the Dallas Cowboys have acquired Brice Butler from the Oakland Raiders to fill in the void of losing Dez Bryant for the next 4-6 weeks because of foot surgery. Butler is a third year veteran who has racked in 383 yards and two touchdowns with the Raiders.
The trade was made Tuesday and the Cowboys will be giving up a conditional pick in the 2016 draft in order to add Butler to their roster.
Dallas brought in Hakeem Nicks, Nick Toon, Austin Pettis and Clyde Gates to their workouts Tuesday morning, and for now are passing on those players.
Bryant tweeted his foot surgery went well. The wide receiver had a screw put in his foot to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. The Cowboys will not place Bryant on the injured reserve designated to return list because that would keep him out until November 15.
