NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested two Louisiana residents on drug charges after a trash bag containing more than 16 pounds of synthetic marijuana was found in the trunk of their car Friday night.
Carla Summers, 36, and Osborne Kimble, 31, both of Rayville, Louisiana, were each booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on a third-degree felony possession of synthetic drugs. Each person's bail amount was set at $7,500.
According to a press release, NCSO deputies stopped a Silver Nissan Altima for two traffic violations Friday night. When the deputies talked to Summers and Kimble, the two people in the car, they appeared nervous and gave conflicting statements about their trip, the press release stated.
After the NCSO deputies got permission to search the car, they found a trash bag containing more than 16 pounds of synthetic marijuana.
Summers and Kimble were arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
