Lufkin man airlifted for leg injury after 2-vehicle wreck on 94

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Two drivers suffered injuries in a wreck on State Highway 94 Wednesday afternoon.

Lufkin Police spokeswoman Jessica Pebsworth said a man in a GMC pickup has possibly broken a leg and was airlifted from the scene to a Tyler hospital.

A driver of a Kia Sorento was taken to a Lufkin hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Pebsworth said the driver of the GMC was headed westbound on 94 and tried to turn left onto Regal Row, into the path of the Kia.

The driver of the Kia has been identified as Brandon Carver, 19, of Lufkin.

The identity of the driver is being withheld by police until family is notified.

Traffic was stopped for a time while the helicopter landed on the scene.
