Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers fish Fry set for Friday night

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

The Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers will be holding their annual fishy fry this coming Friday.

The event will be used to raise money for the group to use in the community to raise awareness on how to report crimes to the anonymous tip line.

"The community will know what crime stoppers is," Chairman Ricky Harrison said. [They will know] How to call 560-INFO to report a crime and how to maintain the safety of the streets."

The money will mainly go to promotional tools that will be posted and handed out. Plates cost $10. The event will take place downtown on the backside of the Nacogdoches Visitor Center. The event will have the option to be sit-and-eat or carry out. The Lufkin Crime Stopper band will be providing entertainment.
