Etoile Water Supply PWS issues boil-water notice

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (News Release) -

Due to a line break on Sept. 29, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is requiring the Etoile Water Supply PWS to notify some of its customers of the need to boil their water before consumption until further notice.

The boil water notice applies to all of the Etoile Water Supply customers on County Road 559 and all of the roads branching off from it. CR 5595, CR 5596, CR 5597, CR 5598, CR 5599, CR 5600, Blueridge, Lakeside, Pine, and Blackgum Circle.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water for some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system’s officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

Anyone with any questions regarding this notice may call Charlie Luse at (936) 854-2215.
