POLLOK, TX (KTRE) - State troopers have identified the victim in a Tuesday night crash in Angelina County as the same man reported missing in a statewide Silver Alert. Marvin Louis Price, 68, died around 8 p.m. after wrecking his vehicle in Pollok near U.S. Highway 69 and Tom Hampton Road.
Price, who family members said suffered from Alzheimer's disease, disappeared earlier Tuesday.
A Silver Alert was issued for him out of Smith County.
Around 7:30 p.m., Price was traveling southbound when he left the road, ran through a fence, and hit a light pole, according to Donnie Puckett, Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace.
An autopsy has been ordered and the cause of the wreck is under investigation, according to Trooper Clint Henderson.
Price was the subject of a previous Silver Alert in early August. He was found safe at that time, in Leon County.
Oncor is on the scene to repair downed power lines damaged in the collision.
