LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin police have filed charges on a 20-year-old man accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl in July.

It is Brandon Taylor Willis' second arrest for a child-sex related crime within the last 16 months.

According to the most recent arrest affidavit, a man reported to police on July 17 that Willis had a sexual encounter with his daughter two days prior. He said he suspected something happened between her and Willis when he found text messages on his daughter's phone. He said he asked his daughter about it and she said she had sex with Willis in their house.

Police interviewed Willis on July 28. According to the affidavit, he said he knew the girl was a juvenile and was aware of her real age. He said while he was having sex with her, he felt a "little bit bad about it." he said he was not able to finish having sex with her because he did not feel right about it, according to the affidavit.

Willis told police he struggles with being attracted to young girls and justified his attraction by saying he is "a kid at heart and is afraid to grow up." He said he has a porn addiction and uses several different social media sites to chat with younger girls, according to the affidavit.

According to the affidavit, Willis said he has moved on from the "young young" girls and that this girl is the only under-aged girl he has talked to since he was originally arrested for a similar offense.

According to a previous KTRE report, Willis was arrested in June 2014 after an 11-year-old girl's stepmother filed a report with police, alleging Willis was sending messages to her stepdaughter and trying to get her to have sex with him.

After spending four months in jail on a charge of second-degree criminal solicitation, Willis posted a $10,000 bond. The case against him was later dismissed. Court records show the district attorney's office filed the motion with the reason listed as "pending further investigation." Assistant District Attorney Scott Greenbaum declined to comment on the dismissal.

In the recent case, police obtained a warrant for second-degree sexual assault on Aug. 24. He was booked in the Angelina County Jail on Wednesday and is being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a bond of $100,000.

KTRE is working to determine why he is being held in Nacogdoches County.
