NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches police have arrested a homeless man identified as the person who injured a 75-year-old woman while trying to steal her vehicle at Walmart last week.

Benjamin Shae Farmer, 37, is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery.

The investigation started after the woman said she was trying to get in her vehicle when a man pulled her from it and threw her to the ground. Instead of taking the vehicle, the man ran from the area before anyone could stop him.

The woman received cuts and scrapes to her elbows.

Police got security video from Walmart that shows the man walking around the parking lot before the attack. According to an arrest affidavit, a detective was able to identify the man as Farmer.

Police obtained a warrant for Farmer's arrest on Wednesday and he was arrested the same day.

His bond was not set as of 3:20 p.m. Thursday.
