ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in determining who left a box of nine puppies near a road outside the Lufkin city limits.
According to a press release, a woman found the puppies on Sept. 20 in an enclosed box on the corner of Myria Street and Benton Drive.
Seven of the nine puppies were already dead while the other two were "barely alive."
The two surviving puppies are doing good now and have a home.
The puppies were of a medium-sized mix breed and were between one and two months old.
