Leaders from the Lufkin school district spent Tuesday evening sharing some education news with the public.
It was all part of a town hall meeting at Lufkin's HOPE Center.
Besides seeing some entertainment from schoolchildren, those attending were presented with information concerning the value the district places on educating it's students, and how well the district is doing when it comes to academics compared to the rest of the state.
LISD Superintendent David Sharp was happy about all the student involvement in Tuesday's meeting.
"It was an opportunity for us to provide a meeting with our community so they could see a little more of what we deal with on a day to day basis and enjoy our students as they perform and see the diversity that we have in our district, and how talented and special all of our students are." said Sharp.
