LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

It's not the usual color of choice when you go get your hair done or add some extensions, but one Lufkin hairstylist is adding pink hair strands - all for a special cause.

Oliver and Company Salon hairstylist Roy Crager has witnessed the painful breast cancer journey of several of his clients. In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for $5 Crager will add a pink strand to your hair.

He said the goal is to simply honor those who've battled the deadly disease.

"We've shaved heads together and they've all done so well and so good and I just felt like I want to do something for them,” Crager said.

Crager's goal is to raise $1,000 dollars and he says one-hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. And even though he couldn't add a pink strand to his own hair, Crager is showing his love and support by sporting that pink beard.
