Houston Co. deputies arrest 2 on drug charges, seize gun, marijuana, meth, crack

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office made two drug arrests and seized a small revolver and “sizable quantities” of marijuana, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine.

DeAndre Emil Bailey, 37, was arrested and charged with first-degree felony manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and one third-degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felony charge.

Frank Tillis, 45, was arrested and charged with first-degree felony manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, third-degree tampering/fabricating evidence, and third-degree felony trademark counterfeiting between $2,500 and $30,000.

“Sheriff Bobbitt is committed to taking these drug dealers off the streets,” said Chief Deputy G.P Shearer with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a press release, the Narcotics Division of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office was investigating reports of narcotics activity and obtained a search warrants for two homes in the northern part of Houston County. During the searches, HCSO deputies found and seized a small revolver and “sizable quantities” of marijuana, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine.

The HCSO deputies were assisted by officers from the Grapeland Police Department.
