NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

The curtains will rise Tuesday on the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre's season opener, 'The Arabian Nights.'

Students are putting the finishing touches on Middle Eastern, West Asian and South Asian stories and folk tales, like 'Sinbad the Sailor' and 'Aladdin and His Magic Lamp.' The production features beautiful and elaborate costumes that students have been working on for weeks.

Showtimes, through Saturday, are nightly at 7:30 p.m. at the W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus.

Ticket prices are $7.50 to $15 and can be purchased at the box office, by phone at (936) 468-6407, or on the SFA Threatre website.

The play is recommended for mature audiences.
