LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A melting pot of various cultures is what you can look forward to this Saturday at the 12th Annual Heritage Festival.
The festival will feature hometown dance teams along with the North Lufkin Children's Choir.
Food from countries around the world will available and event organizers advise you to come hungry!
"It's such a good thing for the community because everybody comes together and we learn about each other's cultures and how diverse we are, but we still live as one unit in the community," said Barbara Thompson, Main Street Lufkin director.
While there is no admission charge - new this year, you're asked to bring one canned food item.
Those cans will be donated to the Salvation Army and Central I-S-D.
The Heritage Festival kicks off Saturday at 10 A-M at the Lufkin Convention Center.
