Police investigating hit and run with pedestrian, victim critically injured

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches police are investigating a felony hit and run accident that critically injured a pedestrian Saturday night.

At 10:13 p.m., officers were called to the 3300 block of NE Stallings Drive in reference to an auto/pedestrian hit and run accident.

Police say that dispatch received a call about a pedestrian accident victim laying in the roadway on NE Stallings Drive across from Nacogdoches High School. Police believe the pedestrian victim was coming or going from the Nacogdoches Homecoming dance at the high school at the time of the accident.

A juvenile male was transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. He is in critical condition.

NPD Traffic officers are investigating the incident as a Felony Hit and Run accident. No information regarding a suspect vehicle is available at this time.
