LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The curtains will rise Thursday night on Lufkin High School theatre's season opener. Lufkin High's theatre department is eager to present the murder mystery-comedy, "The Game's Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays."
The play will feature about 50 high school students in the production. LHS theatre director David Young, said the play is relatively new and not many people will have seen it before. The students have hand-built a beautiful and elaborate set.
They said audience members can look forward to a night of laughter.
"I can guarantee that you won't see it coming, and you'll have a lot of fun. It's a very funny show," Young said.
"There are some scary moments that are going to be shocking, but its mostly filled with laughs!" said Jack Miller, the main character.
You can see the play Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m,. and Saturday, October 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Tom Jack Lucas Auditorium at Lufkin High School.
