Greyhound Cutbacks Expected

Greyhound is cutting bus service at some of its stations in Texas, but it's too early to tell how East Texas will be affected by the cuts.

Most of the towns in this immediate area are served by Kerville Bus Line. That line connects with Greyhound in Shreveport and Houston. Greyhound intends to keep those locations open.

Jefferson along with nine other Texas cities will lose bus service starting April 3rd. The bus company is trying to become more efficient.

A Kerville spokesman expects its Greyhound connections will now be limited primarily to larger cities close to interstate highways.
