Lufkin/Corsicana game officially re-scheduled

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Due to UIL rules, the Lufkin/Corsicana game scheduled for Friday will be moved to Saturday afternoon, according to LISD Athletic Director Todd Quick.

Because the Corisicana/John Tyler game is being played Monday night, Quick said it is his understanding that Corsicana's game must be played no earlier than five days earlier.

Quick said he and the Corsicana coach petitioned to move the game to Saturday at 2 p.m. at Abe Martin Stadium and the district executive committee approved the move.

Lufkin won Friday's game over Ennis in a coin flip. Due to lightning delays, it was impossible to get the game completed before curfew, so both coaches agreed on a coin flip.

Alto faces off against Cayuga Monday night in a game re-scheduled from Friday. Their upcoming Friday game against Kerens has been moved to Saturday.
