LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) - Polk County lifted its burn ban Tuesday.
With the decision, Polk County joined the growing number of other Deep East Texas counties who have lifted their burn bans in the wake of the heavy rains that occurred last weekend.
Angelina County Judge Wes Suiter lifted that county's ban Monday. He also urged people to use caution in any outdoor burning because of the high winds.
The other Deep East Texas counties who have lifted their burn bans include: Cherokee, Houston, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, Sabine, Shelby, Trinity, and Tyler counties.
